Welcome to La Manga

One of the most famous stretches of coast-line in Murcia is the ‘La Manga Strip’. This beautiful area situated on the Costa Calida, is an ideal escape for water lovers, with the Mar Menor on one side and the Mediterranean on the other. The Mar Menor, sheltered from the Mediterranean by ‘La Manga’, creates a warm shallow lake, making it perfect for safe bathing and water sports.

All tastes are catered for, from sun-worshipper to action-junkie. There is an abundance of water sport activities such as water-skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving. In addition, the area is famous for its golf courses.

Located on the south of the Costa Blanca only 50 metres from the Playa Honda golden sandy beaches and a 10 minute drive from the "La Manga Club" sports complex, this particular area is ideally suited to families. With an average daytime temperature of 23 degrees centigrade and over 320 sunny days annually, this is the perfect location at any time of year. The area is made up of spectacular mountain ranges, fertile plains and a dramatic coastline.

There are two international airports in the province at Alicante and San Javier/Murcia with excellent motorway links to the rest of Spain and Europe. The area has long been a popular holiday spot for Spaniards and the lack of big hotels means that people coming to this area are looking for something more up-market and relaxing.
